MUMBAI: CA today announced a new version of its AllFusion Modeling Suite that features a patented generalized data modeling (GDM) engine embedded in its AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler.
According to a CA statement, AllFusion Modeling Suite r7 empowers IT organizations to accelerate application delivery, increase staff productivity and control the cost of database ownership. It also facilitates regulatory compliance and problem identification by delivering a audit trail of database and data warehouse changes.
CA's GDM engine delivers model consistency and full session undo/redo/reverse and model change management capabilities, providing users with unparalleled control of their database architecture and enabling them to optimize database design.
Database design issues have become particularly critical to IT organizations that need to support critical business processes with a larger number of increasingly complex applications, the company said.
"With a responsibility to collect and report information on student
achievement in grades K-12 across the State of Utah, one of our technology imperatives is risk mitigation for any changes we make to our data
structure," said David Williamson, database administrator, Utah State
Office of Education.
"The important improvements CA is making to the
AllFusion Modeling Suite will help us ensure that we continue to meet our
regulatory requirements and ensure the accuracy of our student data."
Built with modular components, the AllFusion Modeling Suite provides an
integrated environment for automating design processes, synchronizing data
models, troubleshooting architectural issues and validating end-user
functionality.
