BANGALORE, INDIA: Once, Ian Chappell famously said: "Team in trouble? Whom do you turn to? Rahul Dravid!" That speaks volumes for the Indian cricketer, the Wall.

From being a team saviour to a true ambassador of cricket, Rahul Dravid's journey has been an incredible inspiration for everyone, irrespective of class, professions, interests and sectors.

This evening, at 7.15 pm to be precise, when he addresses CIOL's business technology conclave, C-Change, in Bangalore, the gathering of hundreds of CIOs will take home myriad leadership lessons, which drive their strategic innovation roadmap and shape their leadership position in their organisations. Just like how Dravid dwarfed the opposition's power with his undiminished competitive spirit, CIOs can learn to boost their confidence levels.

Starting today at 4 pm at The Golden Palms Resort in Bangalore, the three-day C-Change 2013, organised by CIOL and Dataquest, the congregation of India's top CIOs and business leaders, promises to herald a new beginning for enterprises by way of peer-to-peer interaction, learning and knowledge sharing about technology from business perspective.

The selection of speakers captures this year's theme of C-Change, Agents of Change. The brainstorming sessions and high-level deliberations form a pitch for subtle blend of technological, political, spiritual and brand-building convictions. Three Padma awardees among the speakers' list is commendable. Apart from Dravid and former director of IISST Dr B N Suresh, who recently got Padma Vibhshan, there is Roddam Narasimha, Aerospace Scientist and fluid dynamicist, who will speak on 'science of tomorrow'.

This technologically empowered era, where there is no perfect recipe for success, runs on the theory that 'embrace change or step aside'. That makes it pertinent for CIOs to be agents of change and that essentially requires an element of spirituality.

Sri Sri Ravishankar, who inaugurates C-Change today at 4pm, will enlighten the gathering with his words of wisdom on the art of bringing change. He once said: "An uncommitted mind is miserable. A committed mind may at times experience rough weather but it will reap the fruits of its toil." Commitment, that's precisely the need of the hour for any organisation to gracefully embrace change and emerge successful in its ventures.

C-Change also offers an opportunity for CIOs to take advantage of the present business environment to create new values, commitments and partnerships. Keeping pace with, anticipating, and even benefiting from changes is what a CIO needs to know to be the future leader of the firm.

In this accelerating complexities and competition nothing can skip our minds as how brands have changed, reinvented and reincarnated over the years. Another speaker Harish Bijoor, Brand Expert, CEO, Harish Bijoor Consults Inc. will connect with the CIOs on brand building.

Over the next two days, the speakers include Santosh Desai, CEO, Future Brands, who will talk 'Smart tips and mindset mantras for CIOs', Nitin Bhandari, Associate Vice President, Vodafone, B N Suresh, Former Director, IISST, will speak on 'Applying Space Technologies smartly for benefit of mankind', Sashi Kumar, Chairman, Asian College of Journalism, will speak on media as an agent of change and politician Krishna ByreGowda on the 'Change I foresee'.
