BANGALORE, INDIA: In its 10th year, C-Change, the business technology conclave, has rendered an all-new meaning to business, by empowering CIOs with innovative ideas and excellent business strategies. And over the years, the event has emerged a major summit for top-notch CIOs.

Every organisation faces many challenges, but what really matters is how the situations are handled. The result may not be positive always, but if the mode of approach is right, the results can always be turned positive. As Winston Churchill rightly put it: "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts."

It is a fact that change is the only constant and every CIO is aware of his/her responsibilities to gracefully embrace the change, adapt to it and then modify strategies suitably. Certainly, it is not as easy as it is put here in few words. And CIOs attending C-Change can't agree more.

That makes C-Change a platform that offers holistic approach to business. "The best thing about C-Change is that it is not about chasing too much of technology, but it is a perfect blend of networking, leadership, business and strategies. This year's greatest takeaway for me would be an insight into new trends in technology. Morever, the sessions at C-Change offer a wholesome human excellence on all fronts," says Bhupendra Pant, Head IT at Larsen & Toubro - EWAC.

Gartner-Forbes 2012 Board of Directors Survey notes that Information Technology (IT) is an important way to change the rules of competition in an industry. With that, what matters is how a CIO can draw competitive advantage from the event he attends.

Pankaj Shrivastava, head IT, GFL, is looking forward to get an insight into big data, mobility and social media integration at C-Change. "I want to improve performance of my enterprise-level analytics. I had attended last year's C-Change and the interactions and networking helped in aligning my company's vision with the overall IT vision," he says.

With this year's C-Change theme being "Agents of Change", it is time to look into what is a catalyst for CIOs in decision making. As CIOs from diverse fields are attending the event, there will be great ideas and innovations to explore.

"There is a lot of learning that happens at C-Change. Moreover, it is motivating to know what other CIOs are doing and check if there is a need for us to change our outlook. It is interesting to understand global views of other CIOs. More so because we are expanding our global horizon, says Anil Jaitly of Renuka Sugars. "Currently, our organisation doesn't have telepresence facility and I would be looking to gain some leads in that direction," he adds.

It is not so much about implementing every trend that a CIO comes across at the event, it is all about being in the know.

M Thangaraj, senior executive IT, BHEL, says: "C-Change is an excellent platform for CIOs to understand that they can't just perform between four walls. The deliberations and interactions at the event expose them to the latest trends and technologies, which influence business decisions."

All that and more happens at C-Change and that makes every CIO look forward to attending it.
