BYJU’S to strengthen its tech leadership with new president of technology

BYJU’S has announced the appointment of Anil Goel as president, technology. This move comes after Anil will strategize the direction of technology within BYJU’S and its group companies.

This is line with the company’s aim to introduce emerging technologies to improve learning outcomes and efficiency in support of the company’s long-term goals.

He will also be responsible for the product development, network operations, software applications, and IT infrastructure.

“Technology is a powerful tool that can transform and redefine the way education is delivered. We will focus on developing tech-driven solutions that will empower students with high-quality education and provide engaging learning experiences,” Anil said.

Based in Gurgaon, Anil was with OYO as the group chief technology and product officer. As a part of the core strategy team, he drove OYO's growth. Additionally, he has worked at Amazon, RealNetworks, and HyperQuality.

Anil is said to be an “expert” in strategic planning, technical architecture, design, and project management for high volume applications. He is a MBA marketing graduate from the City University of Seattle, and a B.Tech from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
