Talking about the same, Dinesh Gupta, MD, Busy Infotech expounded, “We have been selling in countries including Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Nigeria, hence Middle East will boost our business further. It is an exciting market and we have so far shipped about 1,000 units of our various accounting software.”

Configuration around Busy software was something that the company had left to be handled by its partners wherein they (partners) earned revenues by extending the same. Another of its business strategy will include charging a certain amount for every upgrade, something that the company was offering free of cost till recently.

Elaborating on the strategy Gupta said, “This is one area where we thought that we could earn revenue since till date all the updates and support that we had been providing were being delivered without any cost.”

Busy is also planning to venture into remote assistance model for its customers wherein the company is planning to have its own server and will be renting space on the server to various small sized companies who want to access data and yet not invest into storage products.

“The remote edition initiative from Busy will allow customers to buy space on our server and access data from anywhere. This software around service (SAS) model is currently being tried and tested with some of our customers and will be rolled out full fledgedly very soon,” added Gupta.

Currently, the remote edition of Busy is being used by Perfect Colour Digital Prints, Bihar Tubes, Thakkar Chemicals, Bajaj Rubber and Swadeshi Bajaj among others.
