Bridgestone selects Satyam for SAP Support

NEW DELHI: Satyam Computer

Services Ltd has entered into an agreement to run SAP at Bridgestone

Corporation, Europe, a subsidiary of Bridgestone, Japan, a tyre and

rubber manufacture in the world. Under this agreement, Satyam will

provide application maintenance and support services to Bridgestone

Europe for a three-year period.






Bridgestone Europe headquartered in Brussels, Belgium has six
manufacturing plants, one technical center, number of regional

distribution centers, warehouses and sales companies located in

various countries across Europe with around 2,000 users using

various modules of SAP including Warehouse Management and APO.

Satyam's business proposition will help realize better value by

allowing Bridgestone focus on its core skills and, at the same time,

bring in scalability and flexibility.






Speaking on the partnership, IT director of Bridgestone Europe Joe
O'Neill said, “Major changes in the tyre industry are prompting

companies to look at different ways of running the business. At

Bridgestone, we are constantly looking at ways of getting more out

of our existing SAP investments. We were looking for a partner with

strong program and project management skills, and most importantly

with a commendable track record with large projects in Fortune 500

companies. Satyam met all these requirements and we believe that our

partnership will help realize the fullest potential of our SAP

systems and maintain our competitive edge.”






Satyam Engineering and Spatial Services SAP director and senior VP
