BPO academy launched in Kolkata

KOLKATA: Globsyn has announced the launch of a mega BPO academy in Kolkata. Formed in collaboration with WEBEL, the academy has been designed to meet the rising demands of trained and skilled manpower in the BPO segment.





According to the press release, as a part of the state government's initiative, WEBEL would assist in giving this academy necessary impetus to become the nodal center of excellence for BPO/ITES services in India. WEBEL would also assist in identifying academicians, teachers and faculty who would impart training in the academy.





The BPO Academy will work very closely with Globsyn Business School (GBS) and Globsyn Software Finishing School (GSFS) to provide its expertise in Business and IT Management delivery skills. BPO Academy would have a full complement of skills in all functions with senior project managers dedicated to deliver the end results.





The release further states that the BPO Academy will work in a comprehensive manner through career connect programs with such colleges and make youngsters available for training and deployment in good numbers. For engineering colleges it will collaborate with WBUT wherever necessary.





The BPO Academy expects to train a minimum of 3000 people for training and deployment in the first 12 months of operations.





According to Globsyn Technologies Ltd. CEO Bikram Dasgupta, "Globsyn BPO Academy will enmesh domain specific knowledge with human excellence competency modules, making it the first BPO academy to do so."
