Boosting revenue: Enterprise look at telepresence

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Companies are now looking at adopting telepresence solutions to improve productivity and generate more revenue rather than as a cost cutting measure, communications solutions provider BT has said.

Telepresence is a technology that allows people to interact from different locations, making them feel as if they were present at the same place, a PTI report said.

"When the economic slowdown happened, companies were looking at telepresence solutions more from a cost cutting measure. Executives instead of travelling could meet in a teleconference environment and discuss business, which saved both money and time," BT Global Services India Managing Director Sudhir Narang told PTI.
