BodhTree enters Middle East mkt

HYDERABAD: BodhTree, an IT consulting and product development company, has signed a license agreement to provide its latest ePaper publishing solution to Times of Oman and Al Shabiba, two newspapers in Oman.






According to the press release, the solutions would enable the newspapers publish their print edition over the Internet. In return, for use of its technology BodhTree will receive from Times of Oman and Al Shabiba licensing fees.





The deal was signed at the Dubai Gitex '04 expo by chairman of the Muscat Press & Publishing House Essa bin Mohammed Al Zadjali and CEO of BodhTree Consulting Sanjiv Gupta; in the presence of principal secretary to the government of Andhra Pradesh (IT and Communications Department) JC Mohanty and government of Andhra Pradesh joint director for the IT and Communications Department CK Veeresh.





"By implementing BodhTree's solution the ePaper version of our newspapers will not only offer convenience and pleasure of reading their favorite newspaper for our online readers, but will also help us add more revenue streams by way of subscriptions and advertisements," said Al Zadjali.





"Our business objective is to establish BodhTree's ePaper technology as the technology-of-choice for e-publishing and to enable the entire industry to take advantage of what ePaper has to offer. By implementing our solution, large or even medium-sized newspapers will be able to realize ROI from their ePaper investment in a very short period. It provides several revenue-generating options to publishers to increase online subscriptions from their international and traveling subscribers and extend innovative, patent-pending advertisement options to business partners and advertisers," said Gupta.
