"We've recently expanded our offerings in digital analytics and marketing in response to the current marketplace needs"

Founded by digital analytics industry leaders in 2004 as the Web Analytics Association, DAA leads and supports its members through education, standards and best practices development, and research. The organization has more than 3,000 members worldwide, representing 40 countries and a broad spectrum of expertise.

"We've recently expanded our offerings in digital analytics and marketing in response to the current marketplace needs," said Blueocean Market Intelligence CEO Kumar Mehta. "The industry is advancing rapidly, and we're doing everything possible to stay at the front of the curve. Joining the DAA was a natural next step for us."

Mehta adds that as a corporate member of DAA, Blueocean Market Intelligence looks forward to sharing its holistic approach to analytics with other member professionals, especially in this highly dynamic online environment. Uniquely positioned because of its integrated analytics, social media and market intelligence practices, Blueocean utilizes different forms of data, both structured and free-flowing unstructured data, to provide a unique, 360-degree view of analysis.

The DAA membership is among the latest moves Blueocean Market Intelligence has made to advance its digital analytics practice. Last month, the company hired Anees Merchant as senior vice president of digital analytics. He now oversees social intelligence, digital analytics and campaign measurement services portfolio.
