Blue Star Infotech happy with traction on mobility

MUMBAI, INDIA: Blue Star Infotech Limited, a software services and solutions provider, announced a 39 per cent increase in consolidated total operating income at Rs. 6906 Lakhs for the quarter ended September 30, 2013, compared to Rs. 4965 Lakhs for the same quarter last year.

The total operating income for the half year was up by 43 per cent as compared to the last year. The profit after tax for the quarter grew to Rs. 306 Lakhs compared to Rs. 135 Lakhs for the same period last year, a growth of 127 per cent. The total operating income has grown by 16 per cent from the last quarter i.e. Q1, FY 13-14.

Among some key business highlights, as further shared, it counts strategic partnerships in mobile business applications, which will be leveraged for future growth. It adds that the company achieved considerable traction in mobility services and have expanded service offerings. Blue Star continues to further strengthen its leadership team with diverse and experienced leaders and has appointed Rohit Sinha as Head of Sales for India, Singapore and Europe. 

Blue Star Infotech also adds that it has won some significant deals in the last quarter competing against large service providers. The company has won a deal to provide core software services to one of the world's largest financial corporation that ranks in Forbes Fortune 100 list. It signed a significant deal to provide mission-critical platform for future business requirement to one of the leading relocation companies in the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East and Asia and won a multi-million dollar deal from a prominent telecom player for providing services under Business Intelligence and Analytics.
