MUMBAI, INDIA: Sobha Developers, a real estate firm, has chosen Tekla Structures as its Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. The Group will introduce Tekla BIM technology in all its business processes to create quicker, innovative and profitable projects with lesser environmental impact.

This collaboration with Sobha is a valued order for Tekla India, as it expands Tekla's presence in the construction industry market as BIM software provider, explains a press release. The pact, it adds, enables Sobha to expand its adoption of building information modeling (BIM) - a process based on intelligent models that offers architects, engineers and builders a more predictable budgeting and greater flexibility in design through a fully-integrated constructability workflow.

“We chose Tekla BIM software after an extensive evaluation because, the extent of its solutions and services will give our architects, engineers and visualization specialists all over the world the accuracy, efficiency, flexibility and collaboration required for developing sustainable designs. It also improves the overall project quality with true visualization and real-time information at all project stages but without the waste and inefficiency associated with old techniques,” says Rajesh Shirakol, Senior Vice President, Design.
