NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel Ltd., India's top mobile services provider, has won a licence to provide GSM-based wireless services in Channel Islands, the company said on Thursday.

The company's shares, which hit an all-time high of 471 rupees on Wednesday, were up 0.5 percent at 464 rupees at 0830 GMT in a firm Mumbai market.

The licence will be the third international venture for the New Delhi-based Bharti group, which is facing intense competition in the domestic market.
