A simple color scheme used by the interface will allow customers to check if the Airtel mobile network in an area is excellent, good, moderate or non-existent. It will also give users the information on the status of corresponding sites serving the area their area, if it is shut down, or closed for up gradation.

The new interface will be available both on the website and on the app, from Wednesday. ”Open Network is a paradigm shift in the way we engage with our customers. With this initiative, we are establishing complete transparency with regards to our mobile network and opening ourselves to customer scrutiny and feedback,” said Managing Director and CEO (India and South Asia) Gopal Vittal.
