BFL launches netKIOS and Kio

BANGALORE: BFL Software has launched two products in the area of Internet and

e-coomerce - netKIOS and Kio. According to BFL Software President and CEO B.V. Venkatesh,

netKIOS (an acronym for networked kiosk interactive operating system) has been jointly

developed with Netcommunication, a subsidiary of Netcard Corporation, Berhard. BFL

Software has also signed an agreement with Netcommunication Holdings to jointly develop

and market netKIOS globally.

NetKIOS acts as a container for user applications and provides necessary interfaces and

facilitates delivery of an unattended kiosk system. NetKIOS is able to handle a variety of

services including bill payments, ticketing, advertisements, among the many other

services.

The Kio is a public domain, interactive, multimedia terminal linked to the Internet to

communicate, access information and enable business transactions. The Kio serves as a

platform for value-added services like on-line shopping, Internet banking and general

browsing applicatiobs on the web.
