Barracuda extends NG Firewall range with F280 desktop appliance

CAMPBELL, USA: Barracuda Networks Inc., the cloud-connected security and storage solutions provider announced the availability of Barracuda NG Firewall F280. The new Barracuda NG Firewall F280 model brings next generation firewall capabilities and full gigabit Ethernet throughput to branch offices and remote locations.

The Barracuda NG Firewall offers massive scalability, easy and efficient management across dispersed networks, low resource consumption and high performance for business-critical applications. Coordinated WAN optimization, centralized management and cloud-hosted content filtering and reporting are just a few of the key features. The Barracuda NG Firewall F280 appliance U.S. list price starts at $2,499 USD for the appliance and U.S. list price of $449 USD for Energize Updates (one-year subscription). An optional Instant Replacement service featuring priority replacement of failed hardware and complimentary refresh of four-year old hardware units is available starting at U.S. list price of $449 USD per year.
