BangaloreIT.in gets a committee

BANGALORE, INDIA: The organizers of the BangaloreIT.in on Wednesday announced a 10-member advisory committee here.

The committee includes eminent industry personalities like Kris Gopalakrishnan, COO, Infosys Technologies, Biswadip Mitra, MD, Texas Instruments India, Som Mittal, Sr VP, HP Asia Pacific & Japan Services and Sridhar Mitta, CEO, e4e. Also featuring the committee are Prof. S Sadagopan, director, International Institute of Information Technology, Deepak Patel, MD, MphasiS, M N Vidyashankar, secretary IT, BT and S&T, government of Karnataka, J Parthsarthy, director, STPI Karnataka, Pradeep Gupta, chairman, CyberMedia India Limited and Pankaj Nath, VP, Cyber Media Events – Convenor.

The committee held its first meeting on Wednesday. Organized by the Department of IT, BT and S&T, government of Karnataka, STPI – Bangalore and CyberMedia Events, the tenth edition of the event will be held from October 29 to November 1 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Tumkur Road.

“This is the first time that industry leaders are actively participating in the pre-launch activities of bangalore IT.in, one of Asia’s largest IT and telecom events. This year, bangalore IT.in 2007 will be by the industry; of the industry and for the industry,” said M N Vidyashankar.

“This meeting has helped us get an overview of the industry’s expectations and views, which will help us go one step ahead in making Bangalore IT.in 2007 a mega success,’’ said Parthsarthy

“This is the first time that we are having an advisory panel and I’m excited about the eminent members we have on the committee. I am looking forward to their valuable advice and input which will guide in making BangaloreIT.in 2007 a resounding success,” said Pradeep Gupta.
