Axiomtek intros OPS880-HM digital signage player

TAIPEI, TAIWAN: Axiomtek, one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of innovative, high performance and reliable PC-based industrial computer products, has introduced OPS880-HM, its new cost-effective OPS digital signage player with the support of 4K resolution.

The OPS880-HM is powered by 4th Generation Intel Core i5 and i3 processors (codename: Haswell) with the Mobile Intel HM86 Express chipset.

The OPS880-HM supports one DDR3L SO-DIMM socket with memory maximum up to 8GB. In addition, it features one mSATA interface as storage device and two PCI Express Mini Card slots for graphics-enhanced video card, wireless LAN card for 802.11 b/g/n and 3G/GPRS, and tuner/AV capture card.

The outstanding OPS digital signage module is an ideal choice for various display applications in different environments, e.g., shopping mall, corporate, education, bank, transportation, retail store, restaurant, performing art center.

"Axiomtek's new OPS880-HM is a fully compliant OPS media player that combines high processing and graphics performance with rich I/O and expansions. Development, installation, management, maintenance and upgrade are all easy. Its dimension is only 200 x119 x 30 mm, which is sleek enough to fit in just about anywhere. This OPS signage module also provides superb graphics performance, 4K content playback, and dual display presentations," said Brenda Huang, product manager of Product Marketing Division at Axiomtek.

The Intel Core-based OPS880-HM is connected to OPS-compliant display via a standardized JAE TX-25 plug connector, and includes HDMI, DisplayPort, UART, audio, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 signals.

The unit also features a wide range of connectivity options, including one 10/100/1000Mbps LAN port, one RS-232, one HDMI interface, two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, and audio ports on front panel. In addition, it offers one mSATA interface and two PCI Express Mini Card slots for scalable storage and expansion option.
