AwoX partners with Network Technology

MONTPELLIER, FRANCE: AwoX, a provider in network entertainment solutions, today announced that they have entered into an agreement with Japan-based Network Technology Co., Ltd.

As per the agreement Network Technology would sell, distribute and support AwoX middleware solutions for networked audio/video applications in Japan, said a press release.

"We are pleased to be working with AwoX to deliver their leading audio and video network middleware to businesses in Japan," said Isao Suzuki, president of Network Technology.

"AwoX offers a proven solution that meets a critical need by allowing rapid development of media network devices in compliance with Digital Living Network Alliance guidelines,” he added.

He added that the customers could deploy reliable network media players, servers and controllers for various consumer electronics products, such as Blu-Ray drives, TVs, mobile phones, set-top-boxes and computers.

AwoX president and chief executive officer, Alain Molinié said, "This is an important partnership for our company. Network Technology clearly has a track record of success in the industry delivering the very best networking solutions to their customers.”

According to him, “AwoX solutions give Network Technology a way to help their customers certify devices with respect to DLNA interoperability guidelines."

The statement reported that the AwoX MediaCTRL would enable OEMs to build products that stream video, music and photos seamlessly using digital audio and video devices in people's regular home networks as well as from commercial, Internet-based services.
