The I/O carrier card provides easy access to the full 108 or 123 user I/O available from the MicroZed SOM, offering connections compatible with industry-standard hardware in the form of twelve digilent Pmod compatible interfaces.

And with features on the I/O carrier card, such as push-buttons, power-supplies, LEDs, and an on-board oscillator. The I/O carrier card includes Maxim Integrated power technology that users can leverage to get a quick start on their power supply design.

"Using Avnet's proven, integrated I/O carrier card, designers can quickly link the MicroZed SOM into a wide variety of hardware systems," said Jim Beneke, VP of global technical marketing for Avnet Electronics Marketing. "It offers users access to the full spectrum of Zynq-7000 all programmable SoC capabilities for both prototyping and use in real-world embedded SOM applications."
