Avinash Agarwal appointed MD at Narus

BANGALORE, INDIA: California based Narus, Inc., a provider of real-time traffic intelligence solution, announced that Avinash Agrawal had been appointed as managing director at Narus India.

Avinash brings in over 30 years of experience in global software and management services. He would be looking into Narus’ R&D effort in India.

Avinash’s vast experience had centered on building software companies in India and scaling them to deliver high-quality products and solutions for a worldwide customer base. Prior to joining Narus, Avinash was president and CEO of Merge Healthcare, Inc.’s operations in India, focusing on software development, vendor management and sales of Merge solutions in India.

Prior to this, Avinash served as managing director at Paragon Solutions, later acquired by First Consulting Group. There, he focused on software development and eventually grew the company to more than 500 employees.

Agrawal holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi in India, and a post-graduate degree in Operation Research from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. With overseas offices already operating in Bangalore, as well as London, France, Egypt, Dubai, Pakistan, Japan and Korea, Narus continues to provide leadership in the worldwide traffic intelligence market, further underscoring the growing need for full IP traffic visibility in today’s global telecommunications and government markets.
