Avaya inaugurates developer lab in Bengaluru

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Avaya, solution providers of enterprise communications systems, has officially launched Avaya DevConnect Lab in the Silicon Valley of India, Bengaluru.

In an effort to drive the development of business communications applications for local Indian market, new lab will promote the development, compliance-testing and co-marketing of third-party products that are compatible with standards-based Avaya solutions said a press release.

According to the release, new lab will help the developer community by offering software development kits (SDKs), educational and training resources as well as technical support options to develop and test Unified Communications and Contact Center applications on Avaya platforms.

"The launch of Avaya DevConnect Lab represents a milestone in our effort to build a partner ecosystem to drive development of Communications & Collaboration applications,” said Jangoo Dalal, managing director of Avaya India.

“The lab will help bring together leading communications technologies from Avaya and local expertise and skills of our Devconnect Developer Partners, so that we can jointly enrich applications on Avaya platforms. New applications are critical to enhance user experience and to bolster the competitiveness of enterprises of all sizes in the India market”, he added.

This lab includes the SIP-based Avaya Aura communications platform which embraces open standard in application development and other solutions offered from Avaya portfolio, added the release.
