NEW DELHI, INDIA: Avaya GlobalConnect, India’s leading enterprise business communications solutions provider today announced a strategic partnership with TIV Operations Group Inc., a leading U.S.-based firm providing telecommunications consulting services to the Hospitality Industry worldwide.

The partnership will provide an interesting option to Avaya GlobalConnect’s hospitality customers to improve their revenues by customizing guest telephone tariffs thereby creating upside revenues for the hotel while maintaining guest satisfaction.

Hotels throughout the world are experiencing a significant decline in telephone revenues each year. In most countries, including India, the negative trend is as much as 25 per cent per year. The decline in telephone revenues is due to the increasing availability of substitutes like mobile phones, calling cards, e-mail etc. By consulting and customization of revenue tariffs, TIV and Avaya GlobalConnect can help hoteliers improve on revenues from guest telephone usage. Increased revenues help offset the problem of declining utilization with an average increase of 43 per cent hotel. No charges are to be paid for discovery process and the implementation. Hotels will only share a pre-agreed part of the increase in revenues only. Hotel realizes immediate benefits after project launch, utilizing the global leader (TIV) in telephone revenue enhancement.
