BANGALORE: GE Countrywide, Maruti Countrywide and Automartindia.com have

entered into an arrangement to offer a certification program for buyers of used

cars. The certification helps the buyer of a used car to understand the

condition of the car and the loan facility he can avail.

Automartindia has specially created a section on its Web site wherein all

certified cars are displayed along with the available loan value of GE

Countrywide/Maruti Countrywide. This provides an online access to the customer

on the certification status of the car as well as the loan available. GE

Countrywide/Maruti Countrywide will be able to leverage its used car price index

to provide a fair and transparent process of getting loans for used cars.

Commenting on the arrangement, GE Countrywide CEO and Maruti Countrywide

director Vishal Dhawan said, "This offer enables customers to easily buy

and sell used cars over the Web. The certification program removes any ambiguity

in the mind of a used car buyer. Our easy finance options, as well as the price

index, will significantly accelerate the growing demand for used cars and help

to develop the used car market."
