NEW DELHI: AMD Athlon XP processors will be empowering the new Compaq D315 Business PC from HP, bringing a new level of desktop PC system choices to the business PC market in India, following the announcement of system availability in the US. The Compaq D315 Business PC from HP offers business users the features they need to increase productivity while helping to stretch their IT budgets, lowering their total cost of ownership and protecting their technology investment.

The new Compaq D315 Business PC from HP follows the successful worldwide introduction of the Compaq N115 Evo notebook PC earlier this year and continues to expand customer choice for powerful and reliable business computing solutions powered by AMD processors.

In addition to features that help IT managers reduce cost of ownership, the Compaq D315 Business PC features Double Data Rate (DDR) memory technology, driven by AMD, which provides up to twice the data-moving capability for more productivity. The world-class NVIDIA GeForce2 graphics provides exceptional screen resolution and the NVIDIA nForce processor platform uses HyperTransport technology to reduce data movement bottlenecks.

"The compelling combination of AMD, HP and NVIDIA technology in a business desktop system offers customers a new and exciting choice in business computing," said Joe Krystofik, vice president, South Asia Pacific, AMD. "Featuring QuantiSpeed architecture that delivers superior software application performance, our AMD Athlon XP processors and stable Socket A infrastructure unite with HP's world-renowned system design expertise and NVIDIA's premier chipset and graphics solutions, creating a power packed system designed for outstanding productivity, stability and reliability," he added.
