CALCUTTA: Atesto Technologies is putting together an automated Web testing

service that will not only fill the lacunae in traditional Web testing but also

reduce cost and inefficiencies. With poorly built Web sites raising concerns

about Web security and legal liability through their faulty transaction systems,

Atesto Technologies will address the needs of this market. The company, based in

Freemont, California and headed by founder and CEO Dave Mukherjee, has a

worldwide network that helps businesses assure the quality and performance of

their Web sites and Web-based applications by providing them the necessary tools

and infrastructure.

The continuous need for monitoring the proper functioning of Web sites and

applications has led to the growth of a $2.3 billion Web testing market.

"We are creating a new standard in Web testing with our comprehensive

testing services," says Dave Mukherjee. "We have built a development

center in Calcutta and are intending to market them at places like Mumbai and

Bangalore. Atesto is helping e-businesses reduce costs, achieve faster marketing

time and quality performance in end-customer use."

"The technology is based on Java, Linux and COM/DCOM among others. The

database module stores test-scripts, users’ account information and generated

result data. It has a middle COM/DCOM layer performing database operations. With

active clustering, COM/DCOM components are kept under MTS and the core database

under SQL 7.0," added Dave. "The testing of any software development

process requires extensive resources in terms of manpower and systems, process

management overheads and resultant investments. Atesto has optimized the use of

these capital," said Dave.
