AT&T expands New Delhi office

NEW DELHI, INDIA: AT&T today announced the opening of a new 17,000 sq ft office space in Gurgaon, near New Delhi to support AT&T’s growing customer base in India.

The occasion was marked by a visit from Greg Wieboldt, senior vice president, AT&T Global Client Group, who is visiting India to attend the Technical Leaders Forum, a global senior technical leaders’ event that AT&T brings to its multinational customers across the globe, said a press release.

The two-day forum brought together approximately 50 leading CIOs, CTOs and other senior technical leaders from across Asia Pacific and India, focusing on critical and innovative technology solutions.

Wieboldt said about the office opening, “It is an honour to officiate at today’s inauguration ceremony which reflects our ongoing commitment to the India region. A growing number of multinational customers are doing business in this region and we will continue to invest in India to meet the global connectivity and applications services needs of these customers through a global IP-based infrastructure.”

As part of the planned US$1 billion global network investment in 2010, AT&T recently announced the opening of AT&T Telepresence SolutionSM rooms in its two Bangalore offices in India.

AT&T also plans to install additional telepresence facilities in AT&T offices in Hinjewadi and Gurgaon in India later this year, the release added.
