AT&T to aid first tech park for disabled at Bhavnagar

AHMEDABAD: Global communications giant AT&T Corp. will donate Rs 10

million to set up India's first information technology park for the disabled,

PNR Society, the project's founders, said on Friday.

The technology park will be built in Bhavnagar, 200 km southwest of Ahmedabad.

It will provide advanced information technology training to disabled young

people, PNR Society said in a statement.

"The park will be in contact with renowned companies to find out maximum

possibilities of employment for the disabled," it added. AT&T will

provide the Rs 10 million over the next three years through its charitable

trust, AT&T Foundation.
