ASUS slashes Zenfone 5 8GB price to Rs.7,999 on Flipkart

BANGALORE, INDIA: ASUS has slashed the Zenfone 5 8GB variant's price in India on the occasion of Republic Day. The device is now available on Flipkart at Rs. 7,999.

ASUS launched the Zenfone 5 A501CG 8GB model in India last year at a price of Rs. 9,999. The 16GB variants of the phone, however, are still selling at the price of Rs. 9,999.

This variant of Asus Zenfone 5 comes with a 1.2 Ghz Dual Core Intel Atom Z2520 Processor with Intel Hyper Threading Technology; combines a spacious 5-inch IPS panel that delivers superb high-definition (HD) 1280 x 720-pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection;  8 MP PixelMaster main camera with image stabilization; 2 MP front-facing camera.2 GB RAM; 8 GB of internal memory with expandable Storage Capacity of 64 GB.

The Asus Zenfone 5 runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.3 operating system installed in the device. The OS is upgradable to the latest Android KitKat.
