CHENNAI: Asset International, the high-end technology training arm of Aptech,
will launch a 6-month course on Enterprise Computing by mid July in Chennai. It
had launched the program last month in Delhi, Lucknow, Gujarat, Chandigarh and
Bangalore.
The course, costing Rs 65,000, will consist of four modules and will deal
with computer architecture, networking essentials, wireless networks and
devices, framework of Enterprise computing, advanced programming and data
modeling contents, and enterprise computing using J2EE.
"I expect the Enterprise Computing to be the most popular among the
courses we are presently offering. There are systems working on mainframe,
client servers and web-based technologies. The challenge now is to make these
systems talk to each other, and Enterprise Computing equips to do that,"
said Ravi Dighe, Head of Asset International.
The zero percent interest loans program that Aptech has struck with HDFC will
be extended to this course. Asset International offers courses such as
e-com@asset, wap@asset, KM@asset, Netpro@asset and MCSE in addition to the
16-month training program it has in association with Australia IT Careers
Institute (AITCI).
Asset International, which has about 110 centers in India and operating under
the Aptech Worldwide banner in SAARC countries and Asian Pacific region, is
expanding into Latin America also. It has about 45 centers in China.
During the last fiscal, it has registered a turnover of Rs 50 crore out of
the total Rs 577 crore turnover recorded by Aptech Ltd. This year, Asset is
looking for a turnover of Rs 64 crore. Brushing off insinuations of an impact of
the US downturn, Dighe says that large and established players would benefit
from the scenario as more and more software professionals are going for
re-training to enhance their skill in light of the changing demands of the IT
industry.
