Ashok Leyland to consult on strategic cost management

BANGALORE: Wipro Infotech has signed up with Ashok Leyland for Strategic Cost Reduction. The contract is for 30 months.

The contract envisages developing a vision and road map for strategic cost reduction and supplier relationship management at Ashok Leyland. The consulting and 01markets division of Wipro Infotech, implementing the project, would look at all elements of material costs and provide consultancy and a technology solution where 01 markets dynamic pricing tool engine and cost management tools would be used.

We are developing a strategic cost reduction and supplier relationship strategy and a roadmap that will help reduce cost on purchase of materials, " said Dr. Anurag Srivastava, Chief Technology Officer and G.M - Consulting, Wipro Limited, Infotech group.

Wipro Infotech would also be equipping and training the Strategic Sourcing and Purchasing team at Ashok Leyland, with the best in class purchasing practices and technologies and transferring knowledge to them in a planned manner.
