NEW DELHI: Aptech Computer Education has launched Proffit, a mass market
job-oriented course, which prepares students on the technical and the
organizational front.
A key element of the course is the focus on work culture and practices
employed within organizations. Practice sessions including case studies for the
course have been developed jointly by Microsoft consultants and Aptech Centre of
Excellence design members.
"Proffit is a focussed attempt, to help young students get over the
pressures of performing at their first jobs. It provides the users both
technical and behavioral skill sets to excel in any organization," said
Kishan Sinh Gohil, head & Sr. vice president, Aptech Computer Education. He
added that besides the regular technical courseware, it also imparts training on
various facets of an office environment, which includes business correspondence,
stress management and time management.
More than 51.4 lakh students graduate each year from the three basic streams
of Arts, Science and Commerce. Proffit plans to cater to the requirements of
prospective employers from this talented workforce. With basic skills, intrinsic
to each stream being imparted on a single platform, Proffit helps a student
absorb optimum knowledge about each of the three streams. Also included in the
course are business correspondence and management skills derived from the Arts
stream, accounting and budgeting skills from the Commerce stream as also
programming concepts and system administration skills from the Science stream.
Proffit course can be completed in less than six months. Targeting close to
28 per cent of India's urban population, it plans to encompass the age group of
15-24 years.
