NEW DELHI, INDIA: A dedicated Apple iMac Computer Lab for latest applications development programmes has been reported to be established at LPU. As per an announcement shared, the School of Computer Science & Engineering of the university has installed 50 Apple iMac computers in the initial phase so that students can be trained on application and software development for I-Phones and I-Pads. University adds that it has also engaged highly qualified faculty who would be training the students specifically on the latest Apple technology.

LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal said: "Apple has changed the dynamics of present software market. Now companies are looking to have dedicated I-Phone and I-Pad applications for their customers as well as staff-members, and for various operations. As such, taking feedbacks from the industry and to get our students recruited, we wanted to create a dedicated resource where this new technology could be taught to the students. Not only this makes us to have the first dedicated lab in the region, but also makes us the first University where dedicated course in iMac has been introduced."

As further added, the university has been visualizing further expansion of infrastructure putting in more computers and more people to train on this technology.
