Although there is no word from Apple about the iPhone 5 launch or the live streaming of the September 12 event, the Web is abuzz with latest rumors on the smartphone and links offering live streaming of the event.

A website Twit TV claims that it will be bringing its viewers all the details from the event as they are revealed. ''You can join Leo Laporte, Tom Merritt, Sarah Lane, and Iyaz Akhtar on Wednesday (September 12th) at 10:00AM Pacific/1:00PM Eastern for our live coverage of Apple's press conference in San Francisco,'' says a blog-post on the website.

There is another website Ustream, which claims to stream the Apple September 12 event live. However, it is clearly mentioned at the bottom of the Web page that it is ''not Apple's official Ustream'' but will provide ''live coverage of Apple keynotes including images, commentary, and sometimes audio and video.''

The website currently shows a countdown to the event, and is actively interacting with viewers in its chat slot. They also have a Facebook and Twitter account. However, a lot of users have raised questions on whether the link will be functional or not when the launch begins.

We must also warn you that Apple reportedly discourages live streaming; hence, whether these links work or not cannot be determined as of now.

If these links fail to function, don't be disheartened. You can always rely on various tech blogs, websites and Twitter for the live updates from Apple's event in San Francisco. Also, Apple generally makes videos from its event available on its website a few days later.

That said, do you feel that Apple, like Samsung, should announce live streaming of the event? Do let us know.
