BANGALORE, INDIA: Apple iPad mini rumors have been piling up for a while now. However, the latest rumor may not particularly bring happiness to gadget enthusiasts.

A report suggests that the Apple iPad mini will only have Wi-Fi. A report on The Guardian, quoting industry sources, says, ''they do not expect to see 3G-capable versions of the iPad mini. That would allow Apple to produce it comparatively cheaply and to limit the top price of the product, while retaining mobile broadband connectivity for its pricier iPad line.''

This news might be upsetting especially for Indians who rely on 3G. An analyst's report earlier predicted that the Apple iPad mini may also face supply shortage.

Although the official word on the Apple iPad mini is yet to come, rumors suggest that the iPad mini will have a 7.85 inch screen and is expected to go on sale from November 2. The price of the tablet is being speculated to be between $249 and $299.

Last month a website called NoWhereElse.fr had published ''leaked pictures'' of iPad Mini. The gadget looked small enough to be held in one hand.

If the rumors are to believed then the iPad Mini can offer a tough competition to other tablets in its league such as Amazon's Kindle and Google's Nexus.
