Apple extends huge discounts on iPhones

BANGALORE,INDIA: Apple Inc is expected to announce its new flagship iPhone 6 in the coming weeks and the smartphone leader is rolling out attractive discounts on its current models including iPhone 4 and iPhone 5C.

Apple is offering discounts from 13 to 15 per cent to its retailers, as the company aims for the one million sales mark in India.

Apple iPhone 5S15GB which has a list price Rs 53,000 can be availed by retailers with trade subsidy of Rs7,500.

Apple has already slashed prices of iPhone 5C (8GB) by Rs 1,000 and the new list price is Rs 30,900. iPhone 4 (16GB) has got a price cut of Rs 5,800 and the new list price is Rs 26,000. Rival Samsung's Galaxy S5 too has got a deep price cut and its selling price now range from Rs 38,000 - 39,000 (Rs 51,500 was its April launch price).

The question now is when Apple retailers would extend the discounts to customers?
