Apical launched Dropbox app

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Apical has launched Dropbox app for Thecus NAS. This allows a user to create a folder on their NAS home server that will automatically keep its contents synced with their Dropbox account. After the Dropbox has successfully been added, user can delete or add any file from their NAS.

User just needs to follow the below mentioned steps.

Step 1: Create a user account

Once in the ThecusOS 6 Control Panel, user just needs to scroll down to the file sharing section and click on the local user configuration icon. Once in the local user configuration menu, user needs to click on the add button and fill in the user's details and click apply.

Step 2: Install the Dropbox module

Return to the control panel and scroll down to the application server section. Click on the NAS application icon and then install the Dropbox module. Once it has successfully installed, a Dropbox icon appears in the Application Server section.

Step 3: Enable the Dropbox login menu

In the control panel, user needs to scroll up to the system management section. At the bottom of the first column in this section, user needs to click on the UI login functions icon. Once inside, user needs to enable the module option and click apply.

Step 4: Accessing Dropbox's menu

User needs to logout of Thecus OS 6. Click on the module login button that just added and select Dropbox. User will then be prompted for NAS username and password. Once the Dropbox popup has loaded, user needs to enable the service and click apply. Once a dropbox is enabled, Dropbox module will then attempt to establish a link to the Dropbox network. A window will pop up and user will be prompted to log into Dropbox.
