Anritsu sets up operations in India

BANGALORE: Anritsu Corporation, a provider of innovative communication solutions, today announced the launch of their India operations here.

Anritsu's Bangalore office aims at serving the needs of the Indian market for the existing and next-generation wired and wireless communication systems.

It also aims at creating business opportunities to serve players in telecommunications by strengthening support capabilities.

Japan-based Anritsu said in a statement that it will take an active role in 3G testing.

The geographic presence of the organization will further enhance its ability to locally service and support customers at a higher technical level.

Its measurement solutions also include wireless, optical, microwave/RF, and digital instruments that can be used during R&D, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance.

Anritsu also provides precision microwave/RF components, optical devices, and high-speed devices for design into communication products and systems.

The company has 3600 employees globally with sales for the year ended March 31, 2005 totalling 84 billion yen (US $790 million).
