An Android app to book doctors appointment

NEW YORK, USA: ZocDoc, a free online service for patients to instantly book doctor appointments has introduced a mobile application specifically for Android users.

The free ZocDoc App for Android offers users the ability to find local doctors and book appointments instantly from their phone, said a press release.

"Patients look to ZocDoc for instant access to doctors no matter when or where they need an appointment," said Cyrus Massoumi, ZocDoc CEO and co-founder.

"Android users can now make an appointment with a doctor anytime, anywhere - whether they're traveling in a new city, or simply too sick to get out of bed," added Massoumi.

Features include:

* Search for doctors by specialty, insurance plan and current location, using Android geo-location technology to find the nearest doctor

* Browse doctor search results, including doctor photos, credentials, descriptions and verified reviews written by patients

* View doctors' calendars in real time and book an appointment instantly while on the go

The ZocDoc App for Android is available for free in the Android Market.
