Amtex Systems to expand Indian BPO division

CHENNAI: Amtex Systems, a provider in IT consulting and service company,on Monday announced that it is expanding its Indian subsidiary’s BPO  division.

It would invest over INR 6 crores in setting up a new 4,000-sq.ft facility with a 150-seater capacity, in addition to its existing facility, said a press release.

The company would increase the BPO headcount in the next six months and is looking to hire close to 200 candidates-both with experience and at the entry level, it added.

“At present, we handle a significant amount of consumer Direct BPO services and inbound sales calls in sectors such as media, entertainment and retail. As our customers look to cut costs further, due to the ongoing recession, we see an increase in demand and will soon add clients in the healthcare, telecom (technical support) and BFSI sectors, ”said Sunny Pokala, president, Amtex Systems

“We expect the BPO division to contribute a substantial 50 per cent of the company’s overall revenue in the next financial year.” he added.
