Amdocs partners with NASSCOM to establish digital centres

Amdocs, has announced that it is partnering with NASSCOM Foundation to establish National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM) centers in Gurgaon and Pune

PUNE, INDIA: Amdocs, has announced that it is partnering with NASSCOM Foundation to establish National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM) centers in Gurgaon and Pune. The centers is expected to train more than 3000 under-privileged people this year to become digitally literate.

The centers will train less privileged people on using computers, phone, and other digital devices. They will also be comprehensively trained on the usage of Internet, emails, social media, ecommerce, IT security, and how to use Internet to avail various government services.

“We are glad to partner with Amdocs India to set up NDLM centers,” said Ganesh Natrajan, Chairman, NASSCOM Foundation. “Amdocs India has been a consistent contributor towards the skill development and education of less privileged communities. They were the biggest contributor among all our registered corporate partners in the recently concluded NASSCOM Foundation Digital Literacy Week. Amdocs India employees trained more than 475 under-privileged people on digital skills in a week.”

“Digital literacy program of NDLM of NASSCOM Foundation is one of the key contributors towards the government’s effort to empower at least one person per household with crucial digital literacy skills by 2020,’’ said Anshoo Gaur, president and head of Amdocs India.
