NEW DELHI: AMD Far East Ltd (India) inaugurated its first 'exclusive' brand outlet in India. The outlet, SMC International is located in Nehru Place, New Delhi and will display and sell the entire range of AMD processors (Sempron, Athlon 64 and Opteron). The outlet will provide customers a 'unique touch and feel' experience through Demo Zones to sample AMD based machines prior to making a purchase decision.

Expressing happiness at the inauguration of AMD's first brand shop, AMD Far East, Country Manager, Sanjeev Keskar said, "The brand shop is an endorsement of AMD's commitment to the Indian market. We are confident that it will prove to be an excellent tool to motivate our channel community and reach out to a wider set of Indian customers."

Sharing details of choosing Nehru Place as the location for this outlet, he added, "Nehru Place is considered to be the commercial hub for over 70 percent trading of IT products in Delhi and is an excellent place to reach out to the reseller community. We have started this as a pilot project in Delhi and plan to extend this to cities such as Bangalore, Hyderabad, Cochin, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata by 2005."
