Amazon S3 now stores 762 billion objects

BANGALORE, INDIA: Cloud company Amazon reported that as of the end of 2011, there were 762 billion (762,000,000,000) objects in Amazon S3, says a blog post on Amazon Web Services Blog.

Moreover, it processed over 500,000 requests per second for these objects at peak times, representing a year-over-year growth of 192 per cent, highest in any year since it launched in 2006, the report added.
