At last Amazon Prime Video app is available on Apple TV. The Amazon Prime Video app lets users with a Prime subscription stream Amazon exclusive shows. Apple kept the video streaming service away from Apple TV, refusing to sell Apple's devices in its online store.

“We want our player, our Prime Video player, to be on the device, and we want it to be on the device with acceptable business terms,” said Bezos at Code Conference 2016. “And if you can’t, then we don’t want to sell it to our customers because they’re going to be buying it thinking they can watch Prime Video and then they’re going to be disappointed. And they’re going to return it.” The addition of Amazon Prime video to Apple's online store indicates that Amazon may soon start selling Apple TV's online.

The tvOS version is available to download on Apple TV 3rd generation devices or later. To find the app in the Apple TV store, search Amazon in the tvOS App Store click on Amazon Shopping then scroll down to find Amazon Prime video app in the "More by this Developer" section. In addition to the launch of Amazon Prime Video app for Apple TV, the iOS app update brings support for iPhone X display resolution.

The Amazon Prime Video app was the lone missing streaming service from the Apple TV, where Netflix, Hulu and the rest had previously been available. The iOS app can be downloaded from here.
