BANGALORE: At a recent roadshow in Bangalore, Amadeus showcased its entire
range of corporate and Internet-based products, apart from demonstrating the
latest developments in Internet technology. At the roadshow, Amadeus unveiled
1a-RES, a connectivity solution for travel management using the Internet.
Amadeus India director Ankur Bhatia said, "It has been a top priority
and concern for us at Amadeus India to ensure that along with the basic
reservation system, we introduce and provide efficient tools that continually
enhance the productivity of the user. Our aim is to encompass each and every
sphere of the travel industry, while maintaining consistently high standards of
service."
Amadeus has implemented emerging technologies through several add-on modules
that enable the user to build a travel business system and provide viable
connectivity solutions through the Internet. 1a-RES is currently being used as
availability and booking engine by all prominent Indian portals including
rediff.com, satyamonline.com, indya.com, indiatimes.com, travelenza.com and
travelmart.com.
The 1a-RES Web site allows users to access, view and make airline, hotel and
car rental reservations directly. It also offers customized options for travel
agents to create a booking engine with their own branding. Other products from
Amadeus are Wireless Travel Management, Corporate Traveler, Value Pricer, Zoom
and Ticket Writer. Amadeus India has 3,478 terminal installations in India with
2,417 agencies on-line in 61 cities. The company has established 23 offices
including country offices in Colombo, Dhaka and Kathmandu.
