This will help the customers as now the system designs are becoming more complex and the market windows are shrinking continuously.

Using Altera technology, the DSN program helps customers find the right expertise to design and develop products. With designs becoming more complex, companies need different types of design and development expertise to complete their design.

The Design Services Network evolved out of Altera's existing Certified Design Center (CDC) and Altera Consultants Alliance Program (ACAP) which collectively had 144 members in 33 countries. By combining these programs into a single program, Altera customers can more easily identify and engage with design service providers based on their specific project needs, reports Clive Maxfield of EETimes.

The program is expanding worldwide to provide local design support to customers. In order to ensure that each DSN member has experience designing with Altera products, tools and IP, the members have to go through a qualification process.
