Altair to expand operations in India

BANGALORE, INDIA: Technology and services provider Altair, based in Troy, Michigan, today announced that its Indian subsidiary, Altair India, headquartered in Bangalore, is expanding its product development center.

Altair India is an offshore engineering services arm of Altair Inc. and is involved in the execution of CAE (computer aided engineering) solutions, grid computing technology, product innovation consulting and business intelligence software for various customers worldwide.

Altair is organized to support its four products and service offerings -- Altair HyperWorks (a platform for innovation) PBS GridWorks (enabling on-demand computing), Altair ProductDesign (the shortest distance between concept and realty) and HiQube (elevating data to knowledge) with over 1000 consultants serving more than 1,500 clients worldwide, said a press release.

"Altair is driven by product innovation. The India product development centre is vital to Altair's global research and development activities which are a key contributor to Altair’s worldwide customers," said Nelson Dias, executive vice president - APAC, Altair.

"The commercial product business unit of the company provides the clients an integrated suite of world-class design and analysis software featuring modeling, visualization, simulation and optimization capabilities as well as design process automation and manufacturing process simulation," says Pavan Kumar, managing director, Altair India.
