Alok Bharadwaj to head Canon's corporate strategy group in Singapore

BANGALORE, INDIA: Canon India's Executive Vice President, Dr. Alok Bharadwaj will be moving on an international assignment to Canon Singapore in January next year.

He will be heading the Corporate Strategy Group as the Senior Vice President  and will be responsible for strategic business planning  and execution as well as corporate communications for Canon’s South East  and South Asian regional operations. He will also be overseeing business development in emerging Asian markets in this region.

Dr. Alok Bharadwaj is an old hand at Canon India, and led the company's business operations for over 13 years. In his new role, he will be reporting to Kensaku Konishi, President  and CEO of Canon’s South East  and South Asia Operations.

Canon India will have no direct successor to the position of EVP. The president and CEO Kazutada Kobayashi will continue to head India business operations.
