The 3G licence period is 20 years.

While interacting with the media here today, on the sidelines of an event, Akhil Gupta, deputy group CEO and MD of Bharti Enterprises, also said that the 3G auction had two flaws — one the spectrum quantity was very less and secondly the prices paid were much high.

He also said that the unused amount in the USO Fund should be effectively used to increase the telecom penetration in rural areas.
