Minister of State for Home Gopal Kanda said that computers had been provided in all police stations for this objective.

"The first phase of work of inter-linking has been completed. The record of all criminals would be made available online. The criminals could be arrested without any delay by knowing their criminal history in any police station," Kanda said.

He said that the project would be completed by next year and it is being monitored by Chief Secretary Urvashi Gulati.

Kanda said that with a view to maintain good relations with the public, a model police station has been set up in each of Haryana’s 21 districts.

He said that village level community committees have been constituted in all villages falling under each police station to resolve complaints at primary level. Such cases, which were not covered under any criminal category, were being handed over to village level community committees for redressal through mutual consent, he added.
